Mixtape Monday: Aeroplane

flying
Took a quick trip home this weekend to visit with my best friends from high school (one of which is moving to NYC!) and my family. At this point in my life, it seems like everyone's future - young or old - is uncertain. It's strange to not know where your friends and family will be or what they will be doing the next time you see them. If anything this weekend was a reminder to be remain in the present and not let the worries of the future stress you out too much.
.
Because it was such a short trip, I flew to Atlanta. En route to back to Charleston, my flight was delayed so much that we didn't leave until it was night. But the views I saw from the passenger window made up for it:
It was a clear, cloudless night that allowed you to see all the little clusters of light and electricity from the city hubs. The full-moon's glow reflected off the rivers and lakes we passed over, and in the distance you could see orange lighting illuminating the sky. It was magnificent and otherworldly.

On that note here are some songs to fly to:
1. Big Jet Plane - Angus and Julia Stone
2. To Travels and Trunks - Hey Marseilles
3. Moon River - Breakfast At Tiffany's Soundtrack
4. The Prettiest Thing - Norah Jones
5. Leaving on a Jet Plane - Peter, Paul and Mary
6. Come Fly with Me - Frank Sinatra
7. Airplanes - Local Natives
8. Travelin' On - Norah Jones
9. Universal Traveler - Air
