Before trying this smoothie recipe, I was so unsure about turmeric and it's enhancing powers. It's like adding salt to caramel or dark chocolate - turmeric kicks things up a notch, a subtle notch.

Carrot Mango Smoothie with Turmeric
(adapted from this recipe)
1/2 cup almond milk
1/2 cup fruit juice (I used Trader Joe's Orange Peach Mango Juice)
1 large carrot, shredded
1 frozen banana
1/2 tsp turmeric
1/2 cup frozen mango
Blend the milk, juice, and carrot together until smooth.
Add rest of ingredients and blend until all smooth.
